STU actively encourages students to learn English and requires them to pass English proficiency tests with an aim to increase students’ competitiveness for employment opportunity. To ensure the students’ understanding about the importance of English capabilities in their future careers, STU continues to hold numerous English proficiency tests on campus for students to sign up every semester, including 1-2 test sections for CSEPT, 2-4 sections for TOEIC, 3-4 Listening & Reading sections for Linguaskill, and at least one Oral and one Writing section for Linguaskill each school year. In addition, the ITLC also utilize funds provided by the MOE to offer intensive courses on campus for English proficiency tests with an aim to familiarize the students with tests and get the certificates.
